SJC Partners are partnering with a leading private equity-backed healthcare distribution and services platform that is executing an ambitious pan-European buy-and-build strategy. Having completed multiple acquisitions across the UK and Continental Europe in recent years, the business is now seeking a Head of Corporate Development Director to drive the next phase of its inorganic growth journey.

Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Private Equity sponsor, this individual will take ownership of the full M&A lifecycle across Western Europe, from sourcing and origination through to execution, integration and value creation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of the Group's M&A strategy across Europe
  • Proactively originate acquisition opportunities through market mapping, industry relationships, conferences and trade events
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of acquisition targets
  • Lead transaction execution, due diligence, negotiations and closing
  • Partner with operational teams to drive successful post-acquisition integration
  • Prepare investment papers and strategic recommendations for senior leadership and shareholders
Candidate Profile
  • Proven experience playing a key role in a successful buy-and-build programme, ideally within a PE-backed environment
  • 8+ years' experience in Corporate Development, M&A, Investment Banking or Private Equity
  • Strong track record of executing end-to-end transactions, including cross-border acquisitions
  • Commercially minded dealmaker who enjoys sourcing opportunities and building relationships
  • Resilient, persistent and comfortable operating in highly competitive markets
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and high-growth environment – will travel extensively across Europe and engage with targets, advisors and industry stakeholders at short notice
  • Sector experience is flexible, although backgrounds within Healthcare Services, Dental, Medical Devices & Equipment, Aesthetics, Veterinary, Multi-Site Businesses or other fragmented sectors would be of particular interest
  • Additional European language skills (French, Dutch, German, Spanish, Italian, etc.) are highly advantageous
