Corporate Development Lead - Private Equity-Backed Platform in London

A private equity-backed growth platform is looking to appoint a Corporate Development Lead to support its acquisition strategy.The role offers significant exposure to senior leadership and the PE sponsor, with a focus on deal origination, execution, and post-acquisition integration across the UK.The RoleAs Corporate Development Lead, you will focus on executing transactions from initial evaluation through to deal completion, supporting the Group’s acquisitive growth strategy. You will also contribute to integration planning and early delivery, ensuring that acquisitions are successfully embedded into the platform.Key Responsibilities: Support and execute the Group’s M&A strategy in line with the PE investment thesis Originate, evaluate, and execute acquisitions Lead the deal execution process: financial analysis, valuation, due diligence coordination, and transaction documentation Build and maintain financial models, valuations, and investment cases Liaise with external advisers on legal, tax, and financial due diligence Prepare investment materials for internal committees, board, and PE sponsor Contribute to integration planning and early post-acquisition delivery Candidate Profile 5–7 years’ deal experience across Corporate Development, M&A / Investment Banking, Transaction Services, and/or Private Equity Experience with mid-market transactions and acquisitive growth strategies Hands-on experience in financial modelling, valuation, and commercial analysis Experience coordinating financial, tax, and legal due diligence processes Prior exposure to PE-backed, acquisitive, or buy-and-build environments preferred Commercially astute, detail-oriented, and confident operating with senior stakeholders and investors PackageA high-impact, PE-backed growth opportunity, offering significant exposure to deal execution, integration, and senior stakeholders, alongside the potential for management incentive participation or equity at exit.
