An established Cardiff law firm is looking for a highly organised and proactive Graduate / Post-Completions Clerk to join its busy Conveyancing Department. This is a great opportunity for a graduate or someone looking to begin a career within the legal sector. Previous legal experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.
The role involves supporting the Conveyancing team and ensuring all post-completion processes are finalised accurately and within the required timescales. Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring the completions diary for all fee earners and making entries when required
- Submitting Stamp Duty and Welsh Revenue Authority returns within the relevant timescales
- Diarising OS1 expiry dates
- Preparing and submitting Land Registry applications within OS1 and OS2 priority periods
- Dealing with Land Registry requisitions within the required timeframes
- Applying to the Land Registry for extensions of time when necessary
- Liaising with other law firms, lenders and management companies
- Sending completed titles to clients and lenders
- Updating the LMS and Lender Exchange portals
