SJC Legal is currently working with a well-established and growing law firm looking to recruit an experienced Residential Conveyancing Paralegal to join its Property team in Milton Keynes.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous conveyancing experience who is looking to develop their career within a busy and supportive property department.
The role will provide exposure to the full conveyancing process, assisting with matters from initial instruction through to completion and post-completion, alongside genuine opportunities for further training and progression.

The Role
- Assist with the day-to-day management and progression of Residential Conveyancing files
- Support across Freehold and Leasehold Sales and Purchases
- Request and review property information and relevant documentation
- Order and review searches and assist with raising and responding to enquiries
- Assist with preparing contracts, transfer documents and other conveyancing documentation
- Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers, lenders, solicitors and other third parties
- Assist with exchange of contracts and completion processes
- Prepare completion statements and assist with the financial aspects of transactions
- Monitor key dates, deadlines and transaction milestones
- Provide clients with regular updates throughout their transactions
- Maintain accurate records using the firm's Case Management system
- Assist with Land Registry and post-completion requirements
- Provide additional legal and administrative support to the wider Conveyancing team where required
- The Candidate
- Have previous experience working within Residential Conveyancing
- Have a good understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction through to completion
- Experience with Freehold and Leasehold transactions would be advantageous
- Have exposure to searches, enquiries, exchange and completion processes
- Familiarity with HM Land Registry procedures would be beneficial
- Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Be confident communicating with clients and other professionals
- Be comfortable managing multiple matters and competing deadlines
- Have experience using Case Management systems
- Be proactive, reliable and able to use your own initiative
- Be keen to continue developing your Residential Conveyancing knowledge and progress within the department
- An LLB, LPC, SQE or other relevant legal qualification would be advantageous but is not essential
