Conveyancing Assistant | Residential Property

SJC Legal is currently working with a well-established and highly regarded law firm looking to recruit a full-time Conveyancing Assistant to join its Residential Property team based at its Histon office, approximately five miles north of Cambridge.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with conveyancing experience who is looking to join an established property department and provide valuable support to experienced fee earners. The role offers exposure to a broad range of residential property transactions within a friendly and supportive working environment.

- Monday to Thursday, 9:00am – 5:15pm
- Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

The Role
- Provide day-to-day support to Residential Conveyancing fee earners
- Assist with a range of residential property transactions including Sales, Purchases, Freehold and Leasehold matters
- Prepare and manage correspondence and property documentation
- Assist with opening files and progressing matters throughout the conveyancing process
- Liaise with clients, estate agents, solicitors, lenders and other third parties
- Assist with searches, Land Registry documentation and post-completion administration where required
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date files and records
- Provide general administrative support to ensure transactions progress efficiently
- Deliver a high standard of client care throughout the conveyancing process
The Candidate
- Have previous experience within Residential Conveyancing, ideally within a Legal Assistant, Conveyancing Assistant or Paralegal position
- Have a good understanding of the residential conveyancing process
- Be comfortable providing administrative and transactional support to fee earners
- Have excellent organisation and time management skills
- Have strong attention to detail
- Be confident communicating with clients and other professionals
- Be able to manage competing priorities within a busy property department
- Be a positive and reliable team player
- Be comfortable working full-time from the firm's Histon office
