About the role

As a Functional Assessor, you'll use your clinical expertise in a new and rewarding way, carrying out functional assessments that support individuals applying for health‑related benefits. This role allows you to apply your clinical judgement while enjoying regular working hours, no night shifts, and no weekend work. You'll be part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based assessments. Based at one of our UK centres, you'll benefit from a structured working environment, comprehensive training, and clear career development pathways.

Working pattern: Full‑time, Monday to Friday, 9am‑5pm. Part‑time hours available.

What you'll do:

  • Conduct functional assessments and produce clear, accurate, high‑quality reports
  • Use clinical judgement to assess a wide range of physical and mental health conditions
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals
  • Maintain accurate records in line with clinical governance and quality standards
  • Engage in ongoing training, CPD, and clinical supervision
  • Deliver assessments with empathy, professionalism, and integrity

What you'll need:

  • Be a registered healthcare professional (Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Paramedic, or Pharmacist)
  • Have at least 12 months post‑registration experience within the last 5 years
  • Have no current restrictions to practice
  • Demonstrate strong communication, assessment, and report‑writing skills
