Diabetes Nurse Specialist

Salary: 44,000 Basic + 5,400 Car allowance or Car Allowance+ Quarterly Bonus.

Full time 37.5 hours per week – Part time 30 hours also available

What you\’ll do:

In short, your task will be to provide high quality care to patients with Diabetes. You\’ll work proactively, identifying patients with Type 2 Diabetes and optimising their oral therapy.

Where necessary, you\’ll also conduct point of care testing and make referrals for specialist insulin treatment.

Who we\’re looking for:

This role calls for a Diabetes diploma level 5, 6 or 7, a relevant postgraduate qualification, PITSTOP or the ENB928 Course in Diabetes Nursing Care. Whatever your background, you\’ll need at least three years\’ post-registration experience and current NMC registration.

Good clinical knowledge is also essential along with communication skills. It\’s vital you can educate, support and advise patients with Type 2 Diabetes, and optimise hypoglycaemics.

Must have a minimum of 3 years experience managing diabetic patients.
