The predicted salary is between 70000 - 84000 ÂŁ per year.
Salary – £70,000 per annum. Permanent – Full time – 35.0 hours per week.
St John Ambulance Cymru trains around 25,000 people per year in First Aid and provides medical cover at around 1,000 events ranging from world tour gigs and international sporting fixtures, through to community events across Wales.
Our 2,000 volunteers and young people undertake educational programmes, such as Event Responder, to gain the skills to provide this service to communities. In addition to this, we provide falls and mental health response and safe transport services 24/7 for the NHS.
As our new Director of Clinical Operations and Education, you will hold executive accountability through the Heads of Response and Education for the planning, delivery, quality and reliability of these services as well as the experience of our volunteers, patients and employees.
As a registrant, you will advocate for our patients and, with our Chief Medical Officer (volunteer post), make sure our clinical systems, policies and outcomes are sector leading.
Working directly to the CEO and with our strategy “Wales as Community of Lifesavers” moving into its second year and following our investment in fleet and equipment in 2025, it’s a great time to join our charity.
Location is Priory House Cardiff but other St John Ambulance Cymru premises may be considered. Hybrid working is available, but importantly you may occasionally need to provide urgent information outside office hours. Additional hours can be balanced through the use of TOIL. Regular travel throughout Wales when required.
