Senior Insurance Manager

Contract type: Full time, permanent

Location: Ipswich, London or Manchester (2 days a week in the office minimum) with occasional travel required

Salary: Circa £80,000 + up to 10% bonus and extensive benefits including:

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, placement and management of insurance programmes across construction and corporate risks
  • Manage relationships with brokers, insurers and advisors including market negotiations
  • Oversee claims management including complex and high‑value claims from site
  • Review contracts and ensure suppliers and contractors meet insurance requirements
  • Support and guide stakeholders across the business on insurance matters
  • Present updates and insights to senior leadership

Experience

  • Strong experience in insurance within construction energy, mega projects, or large‑scale asset environments
  • Experience placing and managing complex insurance programmes
  • Proven capability managing claims and working with insurers and brokers
  • Confidence reviewing contracts and working with suppliers on insurance requirements
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Comfortable presenting and influencing at senior level

Qualifications

  • CII qualification is essential
  • A relevant degree is preferred

To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for Security Vetting, which will ordinarily require you to have been a resident of the UK for at least three of the past five years.
