Contract: Permanent, full time
Salary: Circa £70,000 depending on experience, plus bonus, plus a range of benefits including:
- Annual Leave: 28 days per annum, increasing to 30 days after 5 years of service, plus bank holidays.
- Bonus: Up to 5% annual bonus.
- Pension Contributions: Defined Contribution Pension Scheme with up to 7.5% employee contribution and 15% employer contribution.

Sizewell C is growing rapidly as we move into major delivery, and we’re looking for an experienced Senior Indirect Tax Analyst to join our Finance team. This role will support the Indirect Tax Manager and act as deputy during periods of leave, providing expert oversight of indirect tax compliance, reporting and advisory activity.

About The Role
You will play a central role in preparing indirect tax returns, monitoring data accuracy, shaping tax strategy and ensuring the project remains fully compliant with UK and international indirect tax requirements. You will work closely with teams across Finance, AP/AR and wider business functions, influencing decision-making and supporting tax considerations across a large, complex infrastructure environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Prepare and file all indirect tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely compliance with regulations.
- Monitor indirect tax data, identify issues and lead corrective actions where required.
- Support indirect tax planning, risk management and the development of project-wide tax strategies.
- Stay up to date with UK and EU indirect tax developments and assess impacts on the project.
- Manage tax audits and respond to queries from tax authorities.
- Work closely with AP, AR and wider teams to ensure correct tax treatment across business operations.
- Support customs-related reconciliation, import VAT and international indirect tax activities.
- Act as deputy to the Indirect Tax Manager when required.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum five years’ indirect tax experience, ideally with Big 4 or large in-house exposure.
- Strong knowledge of indirect tax principles and legislation.
- Experience working within a large, complex organisation.
- Accounting or Finance degree, or CIMA/ACA (or working toward).
- SAP experience is helpful but not essential.
- Strong analytical, organisational and decision-making skills.
