Location: Based in Bristol, 3-2 days minimum per week - can be flexible - travel to other sites may be required.

Contract: Permanent, full-time.

Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 dependant on experience, plus benefits.

Benefits include:

  • Annual Leave: 28 days per annum, increasing to 30 days after 5 years of service, plus bank holidays.
  • Bonus: Up to 10% annual bonus.

Sizewell C is entering an exciting phase of growth as we mature into an independent organisation and continue building one of the UK's largest and most important energy projects. We're looking for a senior culture specialist who can help shape the organisation we want to become. This role sits at the heart of our HR function and focuses on creating a company-wide culture that is inclusive, high performing and firmly rooted in nuclear safety. You'll work closely with the Executive Team, Corporate Strategy, Maturity colleagues and the wider HR community to lead cultural transformation, develop our new employee value proposition, and embed the behaviours that will carry us through decades of delivery.

About the Role: As the Programme Engineering Manager for one of the associated programs, you'll be the crucial connection between the Sizewell C Technical Directorate and our delivery programmes. You'll be embedded within your programme, ensuring the seamless integration of technical expertise to meet objectives and priorities.

In this role you will:

  • Lead and co-ordinate a high performing, multi-disciplinary engineering team drawn from the Technical Directorate, Delivery Programmes and Nuclear Services.
  • Manage direct reports, with a growing team of engineers within the Technical Directorate.
  • Provide visible, proactive leadership to the multi-disciplinary team, offering clear direction, expert guidance and timely support to enable individuals and teams to deliver against demanding project objectives.
  • Lead by example, setting and reinforcing the expected project behaviours, culture, and standards, and creating an environment where accountability, collaboration and excellence are the norm.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A degree in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering.
  • Proven experience in engineering management within large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Highly effective negotiator, skilled in reaching counsel and consensus with senior stakeholders across the business.
  • A passion for delivering high-quality solutions in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Proven ability to build and lead diverse teams.
  • Expertise in design processes and technical design systems.
  • Experience in complex, high-safety regulatory environments.
  • Skilled in engineering systems, documentation, and nuclear specifications (e.g., BTR, BTS).
  • French language speaking would be advantageous.
