Sizewell C's business is to design, finance, construct, commission, operate, maintain, and eventually decommission the nuclear power plant and related infrastructure at Sizewell C in Suffolk. Overall, whilst the Company is in the construction phase, the Boards' principal focus is on the development and construction of Sizewell C on time, on budget and to the highest quality and safety standards. The Company is maturing to meet all these requirements.
Sizewell C is economically regulated by OFGEM under the RAB model similar to other UK electricity distribution networks and Thames Tideway. Sizewell C construction strategy is to replicate the design of Hinkley Point C, using the majority of the same supply chain, but innovating in the way it is delivered to achieve savings in time and cost of around 20%. The CCO will need to be guided by and incorporate lessons learned from the Hinkley Point C commercial delivery to achieve Sizewell C's ambition.
Following Financial Completion and Revenue Commencement, Sizewell C is fully funded and is owned by The Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero representing HM Government, La Caisse, Centrica, EDF and Amber Infrastructure.
Location: Based in London on a hybrid basis with travel to Suffolk as required.
Contract: Permanent, full-time.
Salary: Competitive dependant on experience, plus benefits.

About the Role: Sizewell C is seeking an experienced IT Business Continuity Lead to develop, implement, and maintain robust IT business continuity, disaster recovery, and technology resilience arrangements across one of the UK's most significant infrastructure and clean energy programmes. This is a critical leadership role supporting IT operational resilience, cyber resilience, incident response, service continuity, and recovery planning within a highly regulated environment. The successful candidate will work across digital, security, infrastructure, applications, operational technology interfaces, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure critical systems can be sustained or recovered through all phases of the project lifecycle.
Sizewell C places strong emphasis on safety, quality, resilience, cyber preparedness, and regulatory compliance as part of its integrated approach to delivering a nationally important nuclear programme supported by dependable technology and information services.
About You:
- Proven experience in IT Business Continuity, IT Disaster Recovery, Operational Resilience, Cyber Resilience, or Technology Service Continuity roles.
- Strong understanding of Business Continuity Management Systems, ISO 22301 principles, and the alignment between business continuity, disaster recovery, and information security practices.
- Experience operating within regulated sectors such as nuclear, energy, infrastructure, transportation, defence, or other environments where resilience of critical technology services is essential.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating IT recovery exercises, scenario testing, incident response activities, and post‑incident lessons learned reviews.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence technical and non‑technical teams.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organisational capability, including experience with business impact analysis, dependency mapping, recovery objectives, and continuity governance.
