Sizewell C is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for at least 60 years.

The Opportunity

This 2-year apprenticeship offers the opportunity to gain a Level 4 Quality Practitioner qualification whilst spending time in different departments of the team. You’ll experience a variety of roles that will help you develop a wide range of transferable business skills that will set you up for your future career. Your rotations will include ample time in quality delivery, quality management, documents and records, and pressure compliance.

What You Will Be Doing

Here at Sizewell C, you’ll support and engage with different parts of the organisation and interact with internal or external stakeholders. With a focus on adding value, your role contributes to the efficiency of an organisation, through support to functional and delivery areas, working across teams and resolving issues as requested. The flexibility and responsiveness required will allow you to develop a wide range of skills.

Who You Are

• You will have five GCSEs in the A* to C or 9 to 4 range including English, Maths and a Science subject. It would be advantageous to have A Levels.
• Good communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.
• A genuine interest in Quality.

Your Work Location

You will be based at one of our Sizewell C offices in Suffolk (Leiston or Orwell Logistics Park, Ipswich) with placements of up to 6 months. You may also be required to travel to another location for your placements, to support other business units and to expand your knowledge and experience of the nuclear industry. The delivery of your Level 4 Quality Practitioner qualification will be a block release of one week, up to four times a year and you will be expected to travel to Lakes College, Workington, Cumbria.
