Health and Safety Advisor
Location: Sizewell C, Leiston, Suffolk – 5 days a week onsite. Contract: Permanent, Full‑Time.
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 (dependent on experience) plus benefits. Closing date: Thursday 1 January 2026.

We’re seeking an experienced Health and Safety Advisor with a strong background in construction to support the safe and efficient delivery of key projects at Sizewell C. You’ll provide expert health and safety advice across a wide range of site operations including infrastructure, facilities management, logistics, waste, fuel, accommodation, catering, health and security. Working closely with Project Managers, Engineering Leads and Tier 1 Contractors, you’ll ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements, particularly under the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations (CDM).
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with construction leaders to embed safety into every phase of the project
- Provide expert guidance on legislative and site‑specific safety standards
- Drive a proactive approach to risk mitigation in high‑pressure environments
- Ensure compliance with CDM and all other relevant H&S Regulations across all contractors
- Promote health, safety and wellbeing throughout all project stages
Requirements
- Broad experience in Health & Safety standards within construction (including CDM Regulation experience)
- Recognised Health & Safety qualification – Level 6 Diploma or equivalent
- IOSH Membership
- Valid CSCS Card
- Proven track record in leading investigations and delivering safety improvements
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Passion for continuous improvement in health, safety and wellbeing
- Organised and able to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Desirable
- Degree in Construction, NEBOSH Diploma or related field
