The Role:
As a Site Operations Assistant Project Manager you'll work within the Site Operations Team, reporting to the Site Operations Project Manager supporting the mobilisation of the necessary Site Operations early services and transition to the full service provision as the project moves forward to DCO Commencement. The role requires an industry leading value and commitment to delivering work safely. You’ll support activities being undertaken by the Site Principal Contractor team to ensure activities are undertaken safely. This will include a day to day support of service providers engaged to support this early service provision under the guidance of the relevant Service Managers for each function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Site Ops PM, to plan, manage, monitor and coordinate the early Site Operations service provision (which include; buildings, platforms, systems and services).
- Support the review and approval of Contractor Risk Assessments.
- Support the on‑going development of the construction site plot plan and input into design requirements that will ultimately inform the Site Operations service provision.
- Support and monitor arrangements for managing health and safety throughout the construction phase for Site Operation Services.
- Consult, engage and monitor service providers in relation to their health, safety and welfare of their operatives.
- Identify the necessary integrated services required to support the Advance Works and Site Establishment programmes.
- Support and ensure that all service providers have site‑specific inductions, and any further information and training they need.
What You'll Bring:
- Proficient in Delivering Work Safely.
- Strong IT and communication skills.
- Good project/programme controls.
- Project Management.
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Degree or other industry recognised qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or similar related sector.
- You have tertiary qualifications in civil, mechanical, electrical engineering or construction management, or equivalent vocational training and experience.
- You are SMSTS or IOSH qualification holder.
- Understanding of the function and delivery of Principal Contractor Role in a civil engineering/ Infrastructure environment.
- Preferably on medium to large scale infrastructure civil projects.
- Experience in the delivery of more than one of the key disciplines, - Logistics, Facilities Management, Infrastructure & Utilities operation & maintenance, Site Establishment, Earthworks.
