This is a fast rotation shift pattern that uses 4 teams and a combination of three 8-hr shifts on weekdays and two 12-hr shifts on weekends to provide 24/7 coverage. Each team rotates through the following shift sequence over a 4-week period:
- Week 1: Five 8-hr day shifts, two 12-hr day shifts
- Week 2: Three days off, two 8-hr night shifts, two 12-hr night shifts
- Week 3: Three 8-hr night shifts, 4 days off
- Week 4: Five 8-hr swing shifts, two days off

What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Construction Manager, you'll oversee the re-construction of a key section of the SZC works. You'll lead the charge in ensuring safety, efficiency, and on-time delivery. From tactical logistics planning to stakeholder engagement, your role will encompass the entire construction lifecycle, including:
- Team Leadership: Strategic Execution: you will be helping the PM to develop and implement detailed construction strategies and plans.
- Project Oversight: To deliver new Projects into Sizewell C Project with safety and quality at the forefront of our works.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating with contractors, regulators, and government bodies to ensure project success.
- Continuous Improvement: Driving innovation and embedding lessons learned to ensure world-class project delivery.
Good knowledge of CDM Regulations and a proven track record of their implementation.
What We’re Looking For:
We need a proven leader with a strong track record of delivering large, technically complex construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring:
- Industry Expertise: Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, on projects, and working within regulated environments.
- Management Skills: Supervising Tier 1 contractors.
- Leadership Capabilities: Ability to inspire teams, resolve complex issues, and foster collaboration.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with construction methodologies, CDM Regulations, and earned value management tools.
- Strong Communication: Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and presentation skills to engage stakeholders effectively.
Degree and chartered status in an engineering, construction, or other related field desirable. SMSTS Required, CSCS site manager card required.
