Sizewell C is entering an exciting phase of growth as we mature into an independent organisation and continue building one of the UK's largest and most important energy projects. We are now recruiting the below position:

Location: Based in either London or Bristol, with a hybrid working pattern of 3 days per week in the office (some flexibility available)

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Salary: £66,866 - £73,000 depending on experience

Benefits include:

  • Annual Leave: 28 days per annum, increasing to 30 days after 5 years of service, plus bank holidays.
  • Bonus: 5% annual bonus.
  • Pension Contributions: Defined Contribution Pension Scheme with up to 7.5% employee contribution and 15% employer contribution.

Role Overview

You'll oversee and implement Configuration Management activities within the Nuclear Island delivery programme, improving standards and tools. Plan and maintain configuration baselines, identify and document Configuration Items, and manage changes effectively. Produce clear status reports and support change control to ensure accurate tracking and closure. Deliver training, conduct audits, and assist with reviews to validate compliance. Finally, you'll contribute to Engineering Data and Information Management, aligning tools and processes with project needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to perform and manage all configuration management processes throughout the full product lifecycle within a similar environment
  • Ability to use and implement configuration management tools for managing Product Data, Asset Data, Requirements, Documents, Drawings and BIM/CAD systems
  • Ability to develop, coach and lead the project team (including direct reports) to successfully achieve configuration management delivery milestones
  • Ability to manage Contractors and Suppliers configuration management interfaces
  • General professional qualities such as accuracy, tenacity, result-oriented and teamwork-oriented attitude, and diplomacy
  • Ability to work independently, be proactive, report on and elevate relevant issues
  • Good communication/interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written communication

About you

  • Prior experience in dedicated Configuration roles
  • Evidence of CM methodology training such as EIA 649 or CM2/CMII
  • Understanding and ability to apply CM Standards (e.g. ISO 10007 / EIA 649 / CM2 / Def Stan 05 57 / CMMI)
  • Knowledge of Technical and Quality Assurance principles
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering and System Lifecycles (ISO15288)
  • Knowledge of business improvement processes (e.g. Six Sigma or similar)

Desirable

  • Experience within the Nuclear industry (ideally Nuclear Power Plants) or large regulated infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated use of PLM tools (Project Lifecycle Management)
