Location: Sizewell C (hybrid working arrangements). Employment type: Permanent full-time. The role is expected to be a full-time position; however, we are open to discussing a more flexible or part-time approach where possible. Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 dependent on experience, plus bonus and other benefits. Closing date: Wednesday 7th May 2025.

Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support. The project has started construction and is now seeking private investment. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Land Manager to support the delivery of land acquisition, management, and access arrangements across this nationally significant infrastructure project. Our teams are set up to work flexibly, with a hybrid working approach between our offices and your home. We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively.

The Role

As an Assistant Land Manager, you will support the Land & Property team in managing a diverse portfolio of land interests related to the Sizewell C development. Your responsibilities will span everything from assisting in landowner negotiations to helping manage access rights and maintaining accurate records.

The Skills

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Land Management, Surveying, Rural Practice, or related field.
  • RICS qualified is preferable but not essential.
  • A keen interest in working in a major infrastructure project role in the UK from a land perspective, particularly in relation to commercial property or agricultural property management and implementing compulsory acquisition powers.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Some experience or understanding of land acquisition and property law (advantageous but not essential).
  • A team player with a proactive, solution-focused attitude.
