Overview

Sizewell C. The power of good for Britain. Location: Sizewell, with some regional travel. Salary: £40,000 to £46,000 dependent on experience. Benefits: 28 days holiday + bank holidays; 5% annual performance bonus; market-leading pension (up to 7.5% employee contribution, 15% company contribution); additional comprehensive benefits package. Contract Type: Office-based, with hybrid working flexibility (typically 2–3 days per week). Working Pattern: Full time. We operate on an office-based contract model, but support hybrid working where possible. You’ll need to be based within reasonable travel distance of the office and able to attend in person when business needs require—typically 2–3 days per week, though this may vary by team or project. Flexibility to be on site when needed is essential. Closing date: Tuesday 30th September 2025.

As part of the Employment Affairs Unit (EAU) at Sizewell C, you’ll play a key role in shaping the workforce behind one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects. This is your chance to make a real difference—supporting local talent, driving regional growth, and helping build a cleaner, more sustainable future. You’ll report directly to our Job Service Lead as part of the EAU team.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • As a Workforce Engagement Specialist, you’ll be the vital link between local job seekers and the contractors building Sizewell C.
  • You’ll work closely with Tier 1 contractors, local suppliers, and community partners to ensure the right people are in the right roles at the right time.
  • You’ll support in managing the SZC Jobs Service talent pool to meet evolving workforce needs.
  • Organising and supporting local and regional recruitment events to support contractor mobilisation.
  • Building strong, collaborative relationships with contractors and supply chain partners to drive job placements.
  • Supporting local job seekers through 1:1 coaching, group sessions, and community outreach.
  • Assisting contractors with shortlisting and screening candidates from the SZC talent pool.
  • Engaging with colleges, training providers, and employers to boost registrations and awareness.
  • Delivering presentations to a wide range of audiences, from internal teams to external stakeholders.

What You’ll Bring

  • Essential Skills & Experience: A strong background in stakeholder and account management.
  • Excellent data management, reporting, and process awareness.
  • Outstanding communication and organisational skills.
  • Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
  • Experience supporting contractors with local labour and apprenticeship schemes.
  • A track record of helping employers recruit local talent and apprentices.
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task and work on own initiative.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of nuclear construction sector competencies.
  • Commercial awareness and experience in large-scale recruitment.
  • Familiarity with SAP SuccessFactors or similar recruitment systems.
