Contract: Permanent, full-time.

Salary: Competitive depending on experience, plus shift allowance from £7k-£14k per annum depending on pattern.

Shift pattern: Four teams covering 24/7: 3 teams of 8-hr shifts on weekdays and 2 teams of 12-hr shifts on weekends. Each team rotates through a 4-week cycle:

  • Week 2 – 3 days off, 2 8-hr night shifts, 2 12-hr night shifts;
  • Week 3 – 3 8-hr night shifts, 4 days off;
  • Week 4 – 5 8-hr swing shifts, 2 days off.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Construction Manager you will oversee the re-construction of a key section of the SZC works. Your responsibilities include:

  • Team leadership – collaborating with the PM to develop and implement detailed construction strategies and plans.
  • Project oversight – delivering new projects into Sizewell C with safety and quality at the forefront.
  • Stakeholder engagement – collaborating with contractors, regulators and government bodies.
  • Continuous improvement – driving innovation and embedding lessons learned to ensure world-class project delivery.
  • Good knowledge of CDM Regulations and proven track record of their implementation.

We need a proven leader with a strong track record of delivering large, technically complex construction projects.

  • Industry expertise – experience managing multidisciplinary teams on projects within regulated environments.
  • Leadership capabilities – ability to inspire teams, resolve complex issues and foster collaboration.
  • Technical knowledge – familiarity with construction methodologies, CDM Regulations and earned value management tools.
  • Strong communication – excellent interpersonal, influencing and presentation skills to engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Degree and chartered status in an engineering, construction or related field desirable.
