Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), Supporting Sizewell C. As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), you will support the building of Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low‑carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years. This role will be within the Main Civil Works Section. This is an opportunity to join one of the UK's most significant infrastructure programmes – Sizewell C – a once‑in‑a‑generation clean energy project that will help power over 6 million homes for decades to come.

Working within the Civil Works Alliance (a partnership between Balfour Beatty, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Laing O’Rourke), you'll support the delivery of cutting‑edge digital engineering solutions across a major nuclear construction programme. As a Digital Engineer, you'll work closely with the Digital Engineering Manager and wider project teams to develop and maintain high‑quality digital models and data‑driven outputs that support construction planning, coordination and delivery. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about digital construction, BIM and emerging technologies to develop their career on a nationally significant project.

Responsibilities:

  • Producing, maintaining and federating 3D models using tools such as Tekla Structures, Navisworks and Civil 3D
  • Supporting construction teams with visual planning outputs including 4D sequencing, buildability reviews and method statement visualisations
  • Coordinating digital engineering activities across engineering, planning and site delivery teams
  • Supporting model quality checking, clash detection and model data management
  • Assisting with the delivery of graphical and non‑graphical information in line with BIM execution plans and ISO 19650 standards
  • Supporting the development and implementation of digital engineering processes, standards and workflows
  • Working within a Common Data Environment (CDE) to manage project information effectively
  • Supporting digital upskilling across project teams and supply chain partners
  • Assisting with the development of 4D, 5D and asset information modelling processes throughout the project lifecycle

What are we looking for?

  • Experience working in a Digital Engineering, BIM or similar construction technology role
  • Knowledge of 3D and 4D modelling within major construction or infrastructure projects
  • Experience using software such as Tekla Structures, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit or similar platforms
  • Understanding of BIM Level 2 standards and ISO 19650 principles
  • Experience working within a Common Data Environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
  • A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and develop within a major project environment
  • Synchro and/or Solibri experience would be beneficial, but not essential
