As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), you will support the building of Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2‑gigawatt power station generating low‑carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years. This role will be within the CWA Wide Section.
This role is to provide leadership to the project controls across the CWA to ensure the effective delivery of the entire Civils Programme of SZC while recognising and influencing the programme's impacts on the more comprehensive Project. The Change Manager’s role is to implement the strategy, managing, and maintaining change within the agreed constraints on one or more Sections of the project, including change for programme, design, time and cost. This post will ensure that control is in accordance with all safety, quality, time, and cost parameters to meet the project's needs for change, ensure it is implemented and track the changes within the project.
The role focuses on the management of construction based change, including design, technical, scope, time and cost changes in line with NEC4 and the APM aligned change framework. The Change Manager reports directly into the Head of Project Controls, as part of the CWA wide PMO.
What you'll be responsible for:
- Lead the delivery and governance of the Change Management process across the CWA, ensuring compliance and consistency.
- Manage the complete lifecycle of change – from SZC directions and instructions through to compensation events, recovery plans and contingency drawdowns.
- Coordinate interrelated changes across sections to maintain program and cost integrity.
- Configure and leverage Oracle Primavera Unifier to track, report and manage all change activities.
- Develop dashboards, metrics and reporting tools that provide visibility of change performance and trends.
- Support strategic decision‑making by integrating cost, time, risk and contract constraints.
- Champion HSE and Nuclear Safety as embedded principles in every change decision.
- Promote Digital Engineering tools and processes, establishing integrated systems linking BIM data with schedule and budget.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with our Client (NNB and EDF), acting as a strategic advisor.
- Develop high‑performing teams and drive capability development.
- Protect the integrity of the CWA's cost and program envelopes.
What are we looking for?
- A results‑driven leader with at least 12‑15 years leading project controls on complex, mega infrastructure projects for leading international tier 1 contractors.
- Qualified to APM PMQ, APMG Project Planning and Control Practitioner level or equivalent (MRISC preferred).
- Expert in contract, cost and EVM systems including PRISM, Unifier and InEight.
- Passionate about excellence – willing to go the extra mile and continually search for ways to add value.
