Technical Clerk Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), Supporting Sizewell C. As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), you will support the building of Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low‑carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years. This role will be within the Marine and Tunnels Section.

What will you do?

  • The Technical Clerk will provide essential administrative and technical support to the project and engineering teams working on the Sizewell C nuclear project.
  • The role ensures accurate document control, efficient data management, and smooth coordination between stakeholders, contributing to the safe and compliant delivery of a major nuclear infrastructure project.

Document Control & Administration

  • Manage and maintain project documentation in line with project procedures and nuclear industry standards.
  • Register, track, and distribute technical documents (drawings, reports, specifications, RFIs, etc.).
  • Ensure version control, document accuracy, and compliance with audit requirements.

Technical Support

  • Assist engineers and project managers with preparation, formatting, and filing of technical submissions.
  • Support the production of weekly/monthly reports and technical records.
  • Maintain registers (e.g. drawing registers, submittals, NCRs, TQs).

Coordination & Communication

  • Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely document exchange.
  • Coordinate administrative aspects of meetings (agendas, minutes, action tracking).
  • Support onboarding documentation and compliance tracking for site/project personnel.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in an administrative or document control role within engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Ability to manage large volumes of data/documentation.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Experience working on major infrastructure or nuclear/energy projects.
  • Familiarity with document management systems (e.g. Aconex, Asite, Viewpoint).
  • Understanding of quality assurance and compliance processes (ISO standards, audit environments).
