Project Manager - E&E Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), Supporting Sizewell C
As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), you will support the building of Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years.This role will be within theEnabling and Earthwork Section.
What will you do?
The Project Manager will be responsible for the delivery of R-Fills scope within the Enabling and Earthworks section of the CWA at Sizewell C (SZC). This includes planning, coordination, and execution of earthworks and material reuse activities in line with project objectives, safety standards, and programme requirements.
The role is site-based and requires strong collaboration with construction, engineering, environmental, and commercial teams.
What are we looking for?
Experience
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in major infrastructure or civil engineering projects
- Strong background in earthworks, bulk excavation, or material reuse (R-Fills experience desirable)
- Experience working on large-scale, complex, and highly regulated construction sites
- Familiarity with UK construction standards and practices (SZC/HPC experience advantageous)
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
- Project Management certification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) is desirable
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Solid understanding of HSE and environmental compliance
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under pressure
- Commercial awareness and contract management understanding
