Data Engineering Coordinator Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), Supporting Sizewell C
As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), you will support the building of Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low‑carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years. This role will be within the Main Civil Works Section.
What will you do?
The CWA is recruiting directly for a Data Coordinator to provide a trusted data presence where delivery happens, working closely with project teams, suppliers and the Transverse Data & Reporting Service.
This is a practical, delivery‑focused role that goes beyond producing reports. The successful candidate will help ensure project information is complete, correctly coded and accurately reflects activity taking place across the site and within supply‑chain facilities. Their work will give project managers reliable information for valuation and help ensure quality records are ready for handover.
- Checking progress, quality, manufacturing and completion information against activity taking place on site and in factories.
- Applying naming, coding and data standards at source, correcting or rejecting information that does not meet the required standard.
- Reviewing scope completeness and reconciling reported progress against programme baselines and forecasts.
- Identifying missing, inconsistent or poor‑quality information and working with project teams and suppliers to resolve issues.
- Monitoring the timeliness and completeness of quality records ahead of valuations and handover.
- Coordinating weekly supplier data returns, including reports, schedules and material‑tracking information.
- Supporting suppliers and delivery teams with reporting processes, systems and data requirements.
- Contributing to improvements in data collection, reporting workflows and operational visibility
What are we looking for?
The successful candidate will be accountable for improving data quality at source and making sure reliable information is available to support delivery decisions.
- Experience in project delivery, project controls, reporting or information management within a major project environment.
- A practical understanding of delivery processes and the confidence to challenge information that does not reflect what is happening on the ground.
- Experience coordinating data or progress returns from suppliers and delivery partners.
- The ability to investigate data‑quality and reporting issues and drive them through to resolution.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across several workstreams.
- Clear communication and effective stakeholder‑engagement skills.
- Experience using reporting, workflow or information‑management systems.
- The ability to obtain the required level of security clearance.
Experience in nuclear, major construction, infrastructure or manufacturing would be advantageous. Familiarity with Power BI, Primavera P6, Field View, material‑tracking systems, quality records, completions processes or BS EN ISO 19650 would also be beneficial
What we will offer you?
The CWA is a single delivery organisation made of up of the client (Sizewell C) and three parent companies - Balfour Beatty, Bouygues and Laing O'Rourke - which offer industry leading packages including market leading salaries, generous annual leave entitlements, pension scheme and other flexible benefits.
