The Role

As a Design Manager, you’ll take ownership of the design coordination process across our prime residential projects, ensuring that design intent is delivered seamlessly from concept through to completion. Reporting to the Project Director, you’ll manage all design-related activities, liaising with architects, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with client requirements, statutory regulations, and programme milestones. Working closely with the project team, you’ll drive design solutions that balance quality, cost, and buildability, while maintaining the highest standards expected in the luxury residential sector. Additionally, you will:

  • Lead design reviews and manage the flow of information between stakeholders
  • Ensure timely production and approval of drawings and technical documentation
  • Monitor design progress against programme and proactively resolve design issues
  • Coordinate subcontractor design packages and manage design risk
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and internal teams

About You

To be considered as a Design Manager, you will have:

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in design management, ideally with a main contractor
  • A strong background in prime residential construction; experience with complex structural and architectural details is highly desirable
  • Excellent understanding of building regulations and design coordination processes
  • Outstanding communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
  • A degree or equivalent in Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline
