The Role
As our SHEQ Manager, you will oversee and enhance safety, health, environment, and quality assurance standards across our business. You'll ensure statutory compliance, improve SHEQ processes and lead preparations for annual audits. Supervising work systems to ensure our projects meet the highest quality standards, you will maintain a safe, environmentally friendly work environment. Providing advice to line management, you’ll support the implementation of new or existing SHEQ-related legislation, rules and company standards, and assist with retaining all current quality and environmental standards. Additionally, you will:
- Regularly complete prevention inspections
- Maintain accurate records
- Facilitate all forms of risk assessments
About You
To be considered as our SHEQ Manager, you will need to demonstrate:
- Experience in SHEQ management in Construction, especially working at heights, deep excavations, façade stone, scaffolding, plant and equipment with line management responsibilities
- Good knowledge and experience in risk management, assessment and method statement review, site inspections and investigations
- Knowledge of CDM regulations implementation and an in-depth understanding of and the ability to interpret SHEQ-related legislation
- Obtain and maintain the necessary health and safety qualifications for the role. These include but are not limited to NEBOSH Construction, Graduate IOSH status or CMIOSH status, preferred (but not essential) NEBOSH Fire Prevention & Risk Management certificate, CITB Temporary Works Co-ordinator
- Full working knowledge of Microsoft Office including day-to-day use of Excel
- Report writing skills and document management experience
- Planning and organisational skills
