The Role
The Project Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of projects from conception to completion. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the joinery manufacturing processes, materials, and site installation. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Surveying: attend site with draughtsman, oversee initial survey, cross-check surveys, monitor sites, attend final installations.
- Commercial: understand budgets, report variation costs, project costs for CVR reports.
- Programming: keep projects to programme, liaise with client and contractors, manage changes.
- Manufacture: procure subcontractor packages, ensure adherence to programme and quality standards.
- Site Set Up: manage RAMS submission, provide tools, ensure safe delivery areas, review joinery in production.
- Deliveries: arrange deliveries, track items, oversee booking into site.
- Installations: resource sites, manage workloads, liaise with contractors and design team, report variations, monitor progress, maintain H&S policy, quality control and snagging.
- Protection and Sign Off: protect completed works, complete and file sign-off sheets.
About You
- Proven experience in project management within the super‑prime residential joinery sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of bespoke joinery, materials, and manufacturing methods.
- Excellent planning, organising, and time‑management skills.
- Strong client‑facing and communication skills.
- Proficient with Smartsheets and CAD drawings.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of health & safety standards and best practices.
- Full UK driving licence.
