Size Group launched in 2009 as a small construction venture between two friends. Size Group brings together the vital elements of property from the construction of luxury buildings through to the maintenance and management of a property portfolio. We now seek a Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the commercial management of our projects, ensuring robust financial control and compliance from start to finish.
- Report to the Commercial Manager for the project; oversee cost plans, tender documentation, evaluate change events, and manage risk.
- Work closely with clients, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved, budgets are maintained, and JCT contracts are administered effectively.
- Lead on cost forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and performance.
- Produce monthly valuations and maintain the risk and opportunity registers.
- Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
About You
- A minimum of five years’ experience in quantity surveying, ideally with a main contractor.
- A background in the prime residential sector and structural experience is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of JCT contract forms.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- A degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
