Size Group launched in 2009 as a small construction venture between two friends. Size Group brings together the vital elements of property from the construction of luxury buildings through to the maintenance and management of a property portfolio. We now seek a Construction Manager to join our Country Houses team on a permanent, full-time basis.

The Role
As a Construction Manager, you will oversee site operations, supporting the delivery of all aspects of the project. Specifically, you will be involved in the safety elements, project coordination, planning implementation, quality control, project execution and ultimate completion of the project. You will ensure that we meet our commitments and goals through effective communication between teams, both on and off-site, and that our work is consistent with our strategy and core values. Working collaboratively, you will operate across our business to deliver the activities schedule, whilst ensuring that we comply with business processes. Additionally, you will manage smaller contracts within the wider project scope, acting as the primary person onsite and taking responsibility for overall successful delivery.
About You
To be considered as a Construction Manager, you will need to demonstrate:
- Qualifications appropriate to the role
- Extensive knowledge on safe systems of work and putting people to work safely
- Ability to plan and maintain a site setup which is appropriate for the scale of the project
- Plan, manage and co-ordinate all relevant resources needed to deliver the operational aspects of the project
- Recognise and promote best practice throughout the project
- Work calmly under pressure and provide leadership to all production staff on the project
- Embrace technology and modern methods of construction and strive for efficiencies
- Problem solver with the ability to break issues down and derive results
- Extensive knowledge of programme management and control
- Recognise driving critical activities and actively deliver mitigation measures
- Appropriate level of IT competency, including Microsoft Office and basic knowledge of programming software
- Significant experience of the luxury property sector and extensive knowledge of the operational requirements to deliver these projects
- Recognise the importance of change management and the associated risks
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, inspiring and motivating others
- Provide mentor support to Graduate/Trainee Site Managers where required
- Ability to understand the landscape of our clients and consultants
- Ability to understand what information is needed to report internally on developing relationships and project opportunities
- Obtain and maintain the necessary health and safety qualifications required for the role. CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid are mandatory
