We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Managing Security Consultant to join our existing experienced team.
Essential requirements
- High standards in written report and/or design documentation;
- Excellent verbal communication skills in presenting technical solutions to senior stakeholders;
- Ability to identify key security/management activities to manage cyber security during ICT delivery;
- Experience of working on competitive tenders within the public sector in the UK;
- A good understanding of enterprise information and communications technology;
- At least seven years’ experience of cyber security within a delivery or consulting role;
- Experience within the UK Public Sector;
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
- You must hold UK nationality (British Citizenship). Sole nationality is desirable. Dual nationality where one of the nationalities is British may be considered;
- Valid SC Clearance with more than 6 months remaining.
Experience (Nice to have)
- Support development in a secure-by-design methodology;
- Experience in the UK Defence sectors is highly desirable;
- Knowledge of MOD policies (e.g. JSP 440, 453/604, 892);
- Knowledge and experience of Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD principles and their application in secure environments.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
- Creation of Security Management Plans to identify cyber security work at the outset of delivery;
- Working on the cyber security aspects of competitive tenders;
- Documenting Cyber Security approach and technical solutions against customer requirements;
- Strategic direction of Security projects;
- Managing security risk for projects;
- Documenting the evidence set that will be required as part of MOD security assurance;
- Designing options and solutions to mitigate vulnerabilities;
- Understanding the security implications of bringing cutting-edge technology to government;
- Working with various teams across the business including Software Engineering, DevSecOps Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Agile and Cyber Security.
