The role serves as both a technical expert and a leader, ensuring the successful design, implementation and delivery of technical solutions while guiding and mentoring the development team. Key Responsibilities Lead the technical design and architecture of systems and platforms. Collaborate with customers, management and stakeholders to define technical requirements and align solutions with the wider business, where appropriate. Review and guide the development of new features and innovations, ensuring they align with the overall system architecture and technical standards. Identify and implement best practices in secure computing principles, such as SBD standards, design patterns, and testing approaches. Make decisions on technical stack, tooling and product selection based on project requirements and long‑term sustainability. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, helping them grow technically and professionally. Foster a collaborative team culture, encouraging knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. Provide constructive feedback and performance evaluations to team members. Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality. Manage risks and proactively address challenges that may impact the project deliverables. Communicate technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders, customers and SLT, where required. Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve technical solutions. Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies that can benefit the team's productivity and the product’s functionality. Ensure that systems are robust, reliable, and performant by implementing monitoring and thorough testing practices. Ensure proper design principles by including and implementing disaster recovery plans and system backups. Key Skills and Qualifications Proficiency with industry standard software and hardware. VMware, Microsoft Server Products, ASH, Elastic, backup technologies, PKI, encryption technologies, Linux, switching, routing and firewalling across multiple product stacks (Cisco, Juniper, Mellanox).
