At SiXworks, we build secure digital solutions that support Defence and National Security missions. We’re looking for a Junior Support Engineer who enjoys solving difficult technical challenges and wants their work to have real operational impact.
What You’ll Do
- Provide first response to tickets, calls, emails and monitoring events
- Engage with users face‑to‑face
- Perform initial triage of incidents and requests
- Escalate tickets within the team to 2nd and 3rd line engineers as required
- Onboarding and offboarding of internal and customer users
- Ongoing support of user accounts, access and permissions
- Build, deploy and troubleshoot end user devices (EUDs)
- Testing, build and tracking of physical assets including EUDs and servers
What We’re Looking For
We value people who take ownership, think critically, and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team tackling complex challenges. You don’t need to tick every box, but we’re particularly interested in people with skills/experience in:
- Knowledge of Windows 10/11 and MacOS operating systems
- Understanding of computer components and physical hardware including desktop and laptop computers and servers
- Understanding of basic networking concepts
- Azure/Microsoft 365 user and device administration
- InTune & Jamf administration
- Active Directory user and group administration
Just as important are curiosity, strong problem solving ability, and the motivation to continuously improve how technology is designed and delivered.
