The role...
You’ll step in and build a fit-for-purpose people function from the ground up, leading on complex ER, legislative compliance and organisational design, all while keeping the day-to-day running smoothly. This isn’t a role for someone who wants to sit behind a policy manual. This is for someone who thrives in ambiguity, earns trust fast and knows what great HR looks like in a consumer-facing, multi-site environment.
What You'll Do
- You’ll report to the People Director
- You’ll lead an established people team
- Lead and develop the HR function across the full business
- Own complex employee relations and case management end to end
- Ensure compliance with UK employment law and upcoming legislative changes
- Partner closely with senior stakeholders across operations and leadership
- Drive acquisition integration and support organisational design
- Build and implement scalable HR processes, policies and frameworks
- Coach and guide managers on all people-related matters
- Oversee and collaborate with L&D as the function develops
Who You Are
- Proven senior HR leadership experience, Head of HR or Senior HRBP level
- Strong operational HR capability, not just strategic thinking
- Comfortable in fast-moving environments
- Experience in multi-site, hospitality or consumer-facing businesses preferred
- Strong ER and employment law expertise
- Credible, pragmatic and able to influence at all levels
- Ideally experienced through transformation, mergers and acquisitions, or high-growth phases
