Digital and performance marketing manager
What’s in it for you?
- Up up £65,000 base, plus 10% bonus
- Full ownership of the digital funnel, from first click to confirmed booking
- A business on the acquisition trail, set to look transformationally different within two years
- A marketing leadership team already ahead of the curve on AI search (GEO and AEO)
- Lead a performance agency team of five, plus one direct report
- Hybrid working, with discounted stays and food and drink across the estate
- 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, and an extra day off for your birthday
Who are they?
A fast-growing, award-winning hospitality group with more than 30 inns across the North of England and Wales, from characterful heritage buildings to coastal and countryside escapes. Growth has been rapid, and with acquisitions under way the next chapter is even bigger. They run like a startup inside an established business: ambitious, quick to act and genuinely passionate about their guests and their buildings. The marketing team is being reshaped for that next stage, and digital is the engine room. Expect pace, high standards and real influence over how the group grows.
What will you get up to?
- Set and lead the digital growth strategy across paid, owned and organic channels
- Lead the performance agency: set the direction, challenge the numbers and hold them to ROI
- Manage multi-channel budgets to grow direct revenue and lower acquisition costs
- Own the website and booking journey as product owner, setting the roadmap and shipping fixes fast
- Drive conversion rate optimisation through testing, user insight and a test-and-learn culture
- Turn business briefs into commercial plans, and know which levers to pull when trading dips
- Build the performance framework and reporting, from traffic and conversion to ROAS and lifetime value
- Develop marketing automation and personalisation that drive repeat stays and visits
- Keep the group ahead on SEO, GEO and AI-powered search, testing new channels and tools
- Get out on site regularly, so you know every inn, team and guest you’re marketing
What are we looking for?
- At least five years in digital or performance marketing, with a proven track record of delivering ROI
- Expert in paid media and agency management, and confident with website, CMS and conversion work
- Commercially sharp and data-driven: strong in Google Analytics and Looker Studio, comfortable with the numbers
- An understanding of booking engines and selling perishable inventory, ideally from hospitality, travel, leisure or multi-site consumer brands
- Up to speed on SEO, GEO and AI search, and confident using AI tools day to day
- A leader who can inspire an agency and simplify complex data for senior stakeholders
- Ready to hit the ground running, not learn on the job
- Hungry, curious and a great culture fit, with a genuine love for the guest experience
Sound great? Not for you? We will help you with your next move.
To shape hospitality leadership through expert and honest conversation.
