GUEST-FIRST. COMMUNITY LOCAL. INVESTMENT AHEAD. YOUR TEAM TO BUILD. FREE ACCOMMODATION
What's in it for you?
- £50,000 base, plus bonus and service charge
- Take on a much-loved local pub already trading £25k a week, with real room to grow
- Site earmarked for a £500k+ investment – lead it into its next chapter
- Inherit a strong, dedicated Head Chef from day one
- Rebuild the team and senior team in your own image
- A healthy labour budget, with time to invest in your people rather than cut corners
- Based in an affluent, family-led neighbourhood in North London
Who are they?
A well-established, food-led pub group building a scalable estate of quality neighbourhood pubs across London. This site is a phenomenal local with a nice garden, a loyal family crowd and a strong festive and sporting calendar. After a period of unsettled leadership, the business is looking for an established operator to reset standards, re-engage the team and get the pub ready for major investment. The culture is hospitality first: the guest experience comes first and standards are built around it. Expect clear expectations, real accountability and fair, supportive leadership from someone who has run their own pubs.
What will you get up to?
- Lead a hands-on, guest-first operation from the floor, not the office
- Reset expectations and rebuild an engaged, motivated team
- Recruit, develop and shape your senior team
- Take full accountability for the site – food, drink, standards, compliance and labour
- Deliver the best possible version of a quality, spec-led food and drink offer
- Get wet stock under control from day one, starting from a fresh stocktake
- Engage the local community and drive trade through events, festive and live sport
- Hit budget and labour targets and get the pub investment-ready
- Partner with the Head Chef and central food team to hold kitchen standards high
What are we looking for?
- An established General Manager with full accountability for a food-led site
- Background in quality pubs or branded restaurants with proper kitchens
- Genuinely hospitality-obsessed, with a sharp eye for the guest experience
- A strong people manager who can win over a team and hold them to account
- Commercially solid – you know what you’re taking, what you can spend, and how to manage stock
- Happy to deliver a set menu brilliantly, and to earn the right to more
- A natural with locals and the wider community
- On the floor, visible and leading by example, especially at peak times
Great locals don’t run themselves. This one needs you.
To shape hospitality leadership through expert and honest conversation.
