Who are they?
Based in Manchester Head office we are currently seeking a Assistant Financial Controller Controller to lead a top Edinburgh 4 star hotel and step into an FC role. This is an exciting opportunity for you to oversee the financial reporting and play a pivotal role in its grow.
You will manage the hotels financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, developing financial strategies, and overseeing the finance department.
What will you get up to?
- Based in Manchester with monthly travel to the hotel you will oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Provide financial analysis and decision support to management.
- Identify trends, advise the company, and recommend actions based on sound analysis
- Enhance internal controls and procedures.
- Assist GM and Director of finance with financial strategy and planning.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives and external partners.
- Mentor and train junior finance team.
