Global Director of Testing and QA, Testing and QA CoE Lead – Management Consulting – UK, Remote with some global Travel – Automation, Performance, NFT – 1-2 year contract role
My client are a well established and globally renowned Management Consultancy who are looking for a Global Director and CoE Lead of Testing and QA to set up the Quality Assurance standards and CoE across the global group. This role will involve managing a team of 20 direct reports with a wider test team of 200 people. The Director of QA will lead their global Teams as well as introducing Automation and NFT to the business and an NFT/Automated Test Strategy. Ideally you will have set up an Automation strategy, selected tooling and delivered against the business need.
The role of the Director of Testing will involve:
- Setting up the global Test strategy and CoE with particular focus on Automation including tool selection but also leading other areas including Functional Testing, Non-Functional and Defect Management
- Managing senior stakeholders internally and overseeing individuals who can be high performing consultants
- Leading teams with a focus on working in an Agile way or working following Scrum
- Developing a Testing and QA roadmap and executing this focussed on a wide range of elements including Functional, Non-Functional, DevOps, Automation, Processes, Tooling and Documentation
- Oversee the adoption of modern testing methodologies for software, hardware, and network components.
The ideal Director of QA and Testing will have the following experience:
- Experience setting up a Testing and QA CoE, best practices and release management process.
- Proven experience of hands on Automation enabling them to be imperative in preparing the Automation test strategy and Tool selection as well as leading execution.
- Experience of not only Automation test strategy creation but leading teams with a focus on Functional, Non-Functional, Defect Management and DevOps; all within an Agile methodology.
- An in-depth understanding of the Agile methodology including Scrum, TDD and BDD principles.
- Strong expertise and understanding of CI/CD and other DevOps processes.
- Solid expertise in performance testing tools (eg, Neoload, JMeter, LoadRunner) and security testing tools (eg, OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite).
- Experience in testing hardware, including laptops, network devices, and end-user computing environments in large-scale enterprises. Proven ability to develop and execute test plans for both hardware performance and compatibility across diverse operating systems, configurations, and network environments
- Experience working for businesses who are scaling would be widely beneficial to the position
- Success in Test Automation framework implementation
- Coming with strong Technical skills focussed around CI/CD, Functional, Non-Functional, Manual and Automated Testing.
The Director of Testing and QA is a contract role based remotely with some global travel and the office is based in London for those who wish to go to the office. It will be a 1-2 year contract.
