Your role at SIXT:

The SIXT Van and Truck UK division is rapidly expanding, and as a Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring top-quality vehicle maintenance services. You will lead a dedicated team responsible for accurately documenting and managing all mechanical and bodywork damages, ensuring professional and timely follow-up with customers. Your role will involve strong coordination with breakdown partners, suppliers, and internal teams to uphold compliance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • You lead, motivate and allocate daily work within your maintenance team.
  • You manage relationships with breakdown partners and monitor service level agreements.
  • You approve complex vehicle repairs within defined financial limits.
  • You oversee supplier performance to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • You ensure compliance with MOT and safety check requirements across depots.
  • You serve as a working supervisor handling escalated repair jobs and provide cover for coordinator absences.

Your skills matter:

  • Background: You have a solid background in vehicle maintenance, ideally with light commercial vehicles (LCV).
  • Adaptability: You thrive in dynamic environments and can work effectively under pressure both independently and in teams.
  • Attention to Detail: You have a sharp eye for detail ensuring all paperwork and inspections are accurate and complete.
  • Communication: You demonstrate excellent communication skills to engage with customers and internal teams clearly and courteously.
  • Flexibility: You are open to working shift rotations covering branch operating hours to maintain continuous service.
  • Problem-solving: You proactively resolve vehicle condition issues, customer disputes, and insurance coordination challenges.
  • IT Proficiency: You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Experience: You bring experience from transport, logistics or automotive sectors with prior involvement in maintenance management.
  • Driving License: You hold a valid driving license with at least 12 months of driving experience.
