The Damage Manager is responsible for managing the entire vehicle damage function within a commercial fleet of 7,000 vehicles. This role leads a dedicated team overseeing damage claims, repair coordination, and customer recharging, ensuring efficient and compliant processes while maximising recharge recovery. You will foster strong relationships with customers and suppliers and drive continuous improvement in damage management performance.

YOUR ROLE AT SIXT

  • You lead, manage, and develop a team of Billing & Recharge Agents and Damage Claims Agents.
  • You oversee the full damage lifecycle from incident report to case closure ensuring compliance with SLAs.
  • You act as escalation point for complex or high-value damage cases and approve settlements above agent authority.
  • You maintain and develop relationships with bodyshops and repair networks alongside the Senior Vehicle Repair Manager.
  • You drive recharge recovery targets and produce detailed monthly reporting on damage volumes and financials.
  • You ensure all damage processes comply with company policy, legislation, and contractual obligations.

  • Commercial Awareness: You understand recharge and cost recovery principles deeply.
  • Communication: You excel in stakeholder management and dispute resolution.

  • Attention to Detail: You maintain high accuracy in handling damage cases and financial transactions.
  • Knowledge: Ideally, you have experience with vehicle damage assessment, bodyshop networks, or insurance claims.
