YOUR ROLE AT SIXT
The SIXT Van and Truck UK division is rapidly expanding, and you as a Maintenance Manager will play a key role in ensuring top-quality vehicle maintenance services. You will lead a dedicated team responsible for accurately documenting and managing all mechanical and bodywork damages, ensuring professional and timely follow-up with customers. Your role will involve strong coordination with breakdown partners, suppliers, and internal teams to uphold compliance and customer satisfaction. This exciting opportunity is based out of our Manchester depot where you can develop your leadership and operational skills with SIXT Van & Truck.
- You lead, motivate and allocate daily work within your maintenance team
- You manage relationships with breakdown partners and monitor service level agreements
- You approve complex vehicle repairs within defined financial limits
- You oversee supplier performance to ensure quality and efficiency
- You ensure compliance with MOT and safety check requirements across depots
- You serve as a working supervisor handling escalated repair jobs and provide cover for coordinator absences
YOUR SKILLS MATTER
- Background: You have a solid background in vehicle maintenance, ideally with light commercial vehicles (LCV)
- Adaptability: You thrive in dynamic environments and can work effectively under pressure both independently and in teams
- Attention to Detail: You have a sharp eye for detail ensuring all paperwork and inspections are accurate and complete
- Communication: You demonstrate excellent communication skills to engage with customers and internal teams clearly and courteously
- Flexibility: You are open to working shift rotations covering branch operating hours to maintain continuous service
- Problem-solving: You proactively resolve vehicle condition issues, customer disputes, and insurance coordination challenges
- IT Proficiency: You are proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
- Experience: You bring experience from transport, logistics or automotive sectors with prior involvement in maintenance management
- Driving License: You hold a valid driving license with at least 12 months of driving experience
