A well-established and fast-growing technology provider is seeking a Software Sales Account Manager to join their commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an innovative portfolio of document management and workflow automation solutions, helping organisations improve efficiency, compliance, and control over critical business information.
The Opportunity
This role is ideal for a commercially driven sales professional who understands software solutions and enjoys translating technical capability into real business value. You’ll take ownership of the full sales cycle, from identifying opportunities through to closing deals, while building strong, long-term relationships with clients. You’ll play a key role in driving both new business growth and account development, positioning cutting-edge solutions that support digital transformation across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business and revenue growth across target sectors
- Identify client challenges and position tailored document management solutions
- Lead product demonstrations and solution discussions with stakeholders
- Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting → demo → proposal → close
- Build and nurture long-term client relationships
- Identify and develop upsell and cross-sell opportunities
- Clearly demonstrate ROI and operational improvements
What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience
- Proven track record in software sales (document management, output management, or workflow automation)
- Experience in SaaS or cloud-based environments
- Exposure to digital transformation initiatives
- Experience selling into document-heavy industries (e.g. manufacturing, construction, retail, distribution)
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to articulate value
- Full sales cycle management experience
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building abilities
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Familiarity with platforms such as SharePoint, DocuWare, M-Files, or OpenText
- Understanding of document workflows, compliance, and records management
- Knowledge of cloud hosting, integrations, and APIs
- Experience working with channel partners/resellers
- Degree-level education (preferred)
