Our client is a well-established, highly respected manufacturing business seeking a Facilities Engineer to join their Engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and improving a busy production facility, ensuring buildings, utilities and infrastructure operate safely, efficiently and in full compliance with statutory requirements. Working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for maintaining site facilities, managing contractors and delivering infrastructure projects that support continuous production.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the maintenance and performance of building services, including electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems.
- Oversee general building maintenance to ensure facilities remain safe and operational.
- Manage external contractors and service providers, including reviewing RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) and issuing permits to work.
- Deliver facilities improvement projects, refurbishments and infrastructure upgrades from planning through to completion.
- Ensure statutory inspections, certifications and compliance requirements are maintained.
- Prepare and manage facilities maintenance budgets.
