Our client, a forward-thinking company at the forefront of bespoke hardware design for heavy machinery control systems, is looking for a highly skilled professional to join their multidisciplinary project team.
This is an exceptional chance to take a leading role in designing complex electrical systems, mentoring a team, and contributing to the development of innovative solutions for challenging projects.
The Role: As a Senior EC&I Engineer, you will: Lead the design and delivery of electrical control systems using AutoCAD Electrical to meet client specifications.
Produce comprehensive technical documentation, including FDS, HDS, SDS, cable calculations, and O&M manuals.
Specify and select components, create BOMs, and conduct independent reviews of schematics, GAs, and calculations.
Ensure compliance with relevant standards, including IEE Wiring Regulations, EN60204, and EN13849.
Play a pivotal role in tender proposals and design reviews, providing technical solutions that meet client requirements.
Mentor and supervise junior engineers and draughtsmen to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Skills & Experience: At least 5 years of senior experience in EC&I engineering.
Expertise in designing control systems and panels with AutoCAD Electrical.
Strong understanding of BS7671, low voltage directives, and CAE tools.
Experience with switchboards, MCCs, power distribution, and detailed design packages.
Proven ability to manage work autonomously, delivering projects on time and to specification.
