Head of Digital Care & AI Hybrid The Opportunity We are working with an established and growing
care group operating across 18 homes , who are embarking on an exciting digital transformation programme designed to improve resident care, support frontline teams and make better use of data and technology. They are now looking to appoint a
Head of Digital Care & AI
to build this function from the ground up and take ownership of the group's digital care strategy. This is a unique opportunity for someone who understands
care home operations
but also has a genuine passion for technology, digital transformation and the responsible use of AI. The Role As Head of Digital Care & AI, you will work closely with clinical leaders, Home Managers and senior leadership to identify where technology can improve the experience of residents and staff, whilst maintaining high standards of safety, quality and regulatory compliance. You will take ownership of the relationship with the group's core clinical and digital care platforms, overseeing the continued development and adoption of systems such as
digital care records, eMAR and other clinical tools
across the group's homes. A key part of the role will be driving the digitisation of care processes and ensuring that new technology is successfully adopted by frontline teams. You'll work closely with Home Managers to understand their requirements, support implementation and ensure that digital solutions genuinely improve day-to-day care rather than simply adding complexity. The role will also lead the group's
AI adoption strategy , developing a clear roadmap for how AI can be used responsibly within care. This will involve evaluating new tools and opportunities, ensuring appropriate governance, consent and GDPR compliance, and working closely with clinical leadership to ensure solutions are safe and deliverable. Data will also play an important part in the role. You'll partner with the Data Platform Lead to align data flows, dashboards and reporting with the needs of operational and senior leaders. This will include defining requirements for a resident \"golden record\", supporting integration with the group's care systems and using data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. As the function develops, you'll have the opportunity to shape the future team structure, secure additional resources and contribute to the group's wider digital and business strategy. About You We're looking for someone who combines
hands-on care sector experience with strong digital confidence . You will ideally have experience working within a registered care home environment and a strong understanding of resident needs, frontline care and the challenges faced by Home Managers. Knowledge of
CIW regulations, documentation and inspection requirements
would be highly advantageous, particularly where you've been involved in ensuring digital systems support regulatory compliance and inspection readiness. You'll also need experience of leading change within frontline care environments. The ability to engage with care teams, build trust and influence Home Managers will be just as important as your technical knowledge. We're particularly interested in people who have experience with
digital care records, eMAR, Nourish Healthcare, Power BI or similar care and data platforms . Experience or knowledge of AI tools and their practical application within care would also be valuable. Above all, we're looking for someone who is passionate about using
technology, data and innovation to improve care outcomes , while understanding that resident safety and the needs of frontline staff must remain at the centre of every decision. Key Skills & Experience The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of care home operations, regulatory requirements and digital transformation, together with excellent stakeholder and change management skills. You should be comfortable engaging with everyone from frontline care teams and Home Managers through to clinical leadership and executive-level stakeholders. Experience with
Nourish Healthcare, Power BI, Microsoft 365, digital care systems, eMAR, acoustic monitoring or AI solutions
would be advantageous. Why Consider the Opportunity? This is an opportunity to
build something from the ground up . Rather than inheriting an established digital function, you'll have the freedom and responsibility to shape the group's approach to digital care and AI, influence how technology is used across 18 homes and contribute directly to the group's future strategy. For someone who understands care and wants to play a leading role in its digital transformation, this is a chance to make a
genuine, group-wide impact on the way care is delivered . Interested? If you have experience within care and a strong interest in digital transformation, AI and improving care outcomes, we'd be keen to hear from you.
