Due to continued growth and ongoing development projects, we are supporting them in the recruitment of an experienced Wire Erosion Technician to join their highly skilled manufacturing team.
The Role
This is a key position within a fast-paced production environment, supporting the manufacture of complex tooling components and contributing to new conversion development projects.
The ideal candidate will bring strong wire and spark erosion expertise, along with the ability to work efficiently across multiple departments.
Key Responsibilities
Keep wire erosion and spark erosion machines running efficiently, prioritising work in line with production demands.
Work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to support prototype conversions, fixtures and further machining requirements.
Collaborate with the tool repair team to ensure production-critical tooling is prioritised and returned to service quickly.
Rework incorrect conversion components to meet exact specifications.
Conduct routine machine maintenance to minimise downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
A disciplined, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with colleagues at all levels.
A minimum of 5 years experience in programming and running both wire erosion and spark erosion machinery.
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to interpret both metric and imperial engineering drawings.
Solid all-round engineering knowledge.
