Job Overview
As Waiter/ess, I will fully comprehend the vision of Six Senses to help people reconnect with themselves, others and the world around them and our values of local sensitivity and global sensibility, crafted experiences, emotional hospitality, responsible and caring, fun and quirky and pioneering wellness. I will safeguard these pillars and ensure full knowledge and active participation of all our brand initiatives.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Take guest orders from any food & beverage outlet.
- Provide exceptional service at all times following standards and steps of service.
- Greet guests on arrival and conduct welcome and check-in procedures in an efficient and friendly manner.
- Answer outlet telephone courteously and efficiently.
- Inspect condition and cleanliness of menus and wine list, ensure designated amounts are available, and update menus or wine lists as changes occur.
- Work with an empathetic attitude and if there is any problem which cannot be handled, must contact Management.
- Check areas prior to opening to guests and ensure all areas are clean, properly equipped and in a high standard of maintenance.
- Maintain the guest recognition program, taking special care with food likes and dislikes and allergies or special dietary requests.
- Communicate guest feedback, inquiries, and comments. Follow up with management.
- Supervise the Restaurant Junior Commis team, in particular with Opening and Closing.
- Have a good knowledge of all outlet menus (food and wine) and F&B day to day activities.
- Have good knowledge of all F&B outlets opening hours.
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance, grooming and hygiene.
- Knowledge and strict adherence to LQA standards.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 yearsβ experience in a similar operational setting. Hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.
- Technical skills include Advanced MS Office β Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Familiar with various hotel systems including MICROS/point of sell platforms. Knowledge of hotel policies on discounts/food promotion.
- Familiar with Food and Beverage terminology, application, operation, wine service, costs, menu development, food hygiene codes and controlling inventory.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are preferred.
