I will safeguard these pillars and ensure full knowledge and active participation of all our brand initiatives.

Please note this is a 2-month fixed-term contract to support our team during the summer months.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Wine and Restaurant Management and assume responsibility for the efficient operation.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and practices and update knowledge and skills to improve the product and service offering.
  • Assess and review products and services to remain relevant, innovative and in keeping with Six Senses wellness and sustainability practices.
  • Provide an exceptional guest experience service.
  • Effectively carry out service recovery in the event of guest complaints.
  • Conduct Wine Seminars for our guests.
  • Conduct Wine Tastings/Dinners for our guests.
  • Conduct Wine Training Sessions for Restaurant and Beverage Hosts.
  • Properly decant older vintages, with the showmanship and standards required by traditional wine.
  • Pair wines with food, recommending those that will complement the different styles of cuisine and the different methods of food preparation.
  • Assist in the control of their outlet operational budget, ensuring that all costs are strictly controlled maximizing profitability.
  • Inspect condition and cleanliness of menus and wine list, ensure designated amounts are available, and update menus or wine lists as changes occur.
  • Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years’ experience in a similar operational role. Hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.
  • Familiar with Food and Beverage terminology, application, operation, wine service, costs, menu development, food and hygiene codes and controlling inventory.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are preferred.
  • All candidates must hold the right to work in the UK to be considered. Sponsorship is not available for this role.
