Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily tasks related to the property’s "Can Fix" program, including collaboration with engineering hosts and contractors under the Chief Engineer’s guidance.
  • Oversee and execute daily logistical tasks related to the “Priority” accounting software for engineering operations, including managing and monitoring engineering inventory counts.
  • Handle the coordination of incoming and outgoing document control.
  • Assist with communication and coordination across various departments.
  • Manage multiple projects at once, prioritise tasks, and ensure timely follow-through on issues.
  • Perform tasks as assigned by the Director of Technical Services, Chief Engineer, and/or Assistant Chief Engineer.
  • Issue rosters, track attendance, and inform managers of host absences.
  • Coordinate host leave requests under the Chief Engineer's supervision.
  • Interact professionally and positively with department team members, management, and contractors.
  • Follow health and safety protocols, continuously working towards improvements to prevent health and safety hazards.

Qualifications

To execute the position of Engineering Coordinator, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results, which includes the following:

  • Experience as Engineering Coordinator or related role within Hospitality.
  • A competent user in Advanced MS Office.
  • Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are preferred.
  • All candidates must hold the right to work in the UK to be considered. Sponsorship is not available for this role.
