Head Business Architecture London, Zurich | Hybrid 60-40% | Reference 8233Introduction As Head of Business Architecture at SIX Financial Information, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic evolution of our financial data platforms.

Working closely with senior business leaders, IT Architecture, and technology teams, you will translate business strategy into tangible transformation initiatives that drive growth, innovation, and operational excellence.

Reporting into and working with Head Product & Commercial Strategy, you will lead a team of Business Architects, champion capability-driven planning, and help modernise the delivery of critical financial information products across our core content pillars, including Index, Funds, Fixed Income, Reference Data, and Market Data.

Acting as a trusted strategic advisor, you will partner closely with IT Architecture and bridge the gap between business and technology, ensuring that platform investments align with long-term business objectives and customer needs.

What You Will Do

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Business Architects Specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Translate business strategy into actionable business architecture artefacts, including value streams, process maps, business operating models and a strategic narrative and accompanying roadmaps.
  • In close partnership with Head of IT Architecture, contribute to the development and evolution of business capability models and joint strategic roadmaps that bridge strategy and execution
  • Partner closely with IT Architecture and business leaders to identify and drive transformation opportunities that enhance data platforms and delivery capabilities.
  • Conduct assessments of existing platforms, processes, and operating models, including functional SWOT analyses and supporting build-versus-buy evaluations, to support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop compelling business cases and executive-level recommendations that support investment decisions and enterprise transformation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to evaluate emerging technologies, integrate third-party solutions, and optimise workflows across the organisation.
  • What You Will Bring
  • Extensive experience within the financial information industry, with deep expertise in market data, reference data, corporate actions, and financial data platforms.
  • Proven success in developing and applying structured frameworks and models, including value stream mapping, business operating models, and strategic planning methodologies.
  • Understanding of enterprise technology landscapes, data integration approaches (APIs, SFTP), and modern platform transformation programmes.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and challenge senior executives, technology leaders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Outstanding analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, with a track record of translating complex business challenges into practical solutions and clear recommendations.
  • A collaborative leadership style, with a proven track record of partnering with IT Architecture and Technology functions, excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to inspire teams while driving organisational change and business outcomes.
